Shepparton & District Horse & Pony Club held its Saddleworld Shepparton Combined Training Day on Sunday.

Forty-five riders competed at the club’s Kialla location in the combined dressage and showjumping event, with two of the competitors set to head to the national championships in September.

‘‘Two riders, Lauren Hutchinson and Tori Glass, are heading to nationals which was a good hit out (for them),’’ Shepparton & District Horse & Pony Club secretary and event organiser Sharon Glass said.

The competitors, who came from as far as Kergunyah, were greeted with great weather for the day.

‘‘It was a beautiful day. We couldn’t have asked for a better day,’’ Ms Glass said.

She thanked the riders for participating and the parents for helping out on the day.

The next major event for the club is a dressage and showjumping clinic to be held on August 12 and 13.
