Sheep producer and owner of Corydon, Bill Barlow, gets to work grading wool.

For the third year running, a group of dedicated Wanalta locals have done their part to raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital with more than $27000 raised.

The charity shearing day hosted at Bill and Val Barlow’s on July 21 saw more than 700 sheep shorn by a dedicated group of shearers, with funds raised through the sponsorship of stands.

The group also sold a number a lambs at a sale last week to contribute to the final total, with the sale fetching $3700.

Wanalta’s Bill Ogden, who helped to organise the day, said the response to the day had been wonderful and had resulted in a great outcome for the hospital.
