Auctioneer Brian Leslie calls out a bid at the sale of the Manks' family's Spring Herd Dispersal.

Lot 15 is paraded around the ring at the Shepparton Regional Saleyards on Thursday.

Lot 6 was one of the ... cows to be sold at the Manks' family dispersal sale.

Lot 2 looks towards her potential buyer.

A complete clearance was recorded at Shepparton Regional Saleyards on Thursday, with the majority of the sale focused on the Manks family’s complete spring herd dispersal.

The Kyabram herd had 119 cattle sell with a top price of $2900 for Lot 98, which was a heifer.

‘‘The Megamilk herd averaged $1930. It was a strong sale. There wasn’t much demand for little cross-bred cattle,’’ Dairy Livestock Services auctioneer Brian Leslie said.

‘‘They were real good cows,’’ he said.

‘‘There was strong demand for the young cattle but less demand for the older cattle.’’

The whole sale saw a total of 145 head sold at an average price of $1827, with buyers from right across the Goulburn Valley and Southern Riverina, including Cohuna, Kyabram, Shepparton and Finley.
