A Lamb Drive will be held at Shepparton Regional Saleyards next month to raise funds for Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital.

The Devenish Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal Committee in partnership with the Dookie and Tungamah Lions clubs have organised the event that is seeking lambs for donations.

Event organiser Brian ‘Buzz’ Schulz said interest in donating was positive in the first two weeks of planning.

‘‘(We have had good feedback) absolutely. We’ve had a few people say they will donate,’’ Mr Schulz said.

‘‘I’m hoping for 50 (sheep) but we might be surprised.’’

Mr Schulz said he had a personal experience with the Royal Children’s Hospital with his niece and nephew spending ‘‘a bit of time in there’’.

The donated sheep need to be healthy and have the correct NDIS tags.

The sale will take place at Shepparton Regional Saleyards on Friday, October 6 as part of the weekly sheep sale.
