Charity sale a success

Today's charity lamb sale was a success according to organisers.

A complete clearance of nearly 100 lambs was sold at the Shepparton Regional Saleyards this morning with all proceeds going to Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital.

Ninety-eight lambs sold for a total price of about $17000 and organiser Allan Shields said it "couldn't have gone better".

Byron 'Buzz' Shields, who also helped organise the event, said the support from the community was "overwhelming".

The organisers were hoping for the sale to return again next year.
