Rare hot rod stolen

Cobram Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary where a rare hot rod was stolen from a Barmah home on Friday.

Thieves broke into a garage at the Lawford St address, stealing the blue 1931 Ford V8 Hot Rod Tourer Tudor between 5.30pm and 10.30pm.

They have also stolen an $8000 Minelab metal detector and a Stihl and Husqvarna chainsaw.

It is believed the Hot Rod, with Victorian club registration 02301M, may have been removed from the property after being loaded onto a car trailer.
