Smith's happy with first stage sale

October 18, 2017

Auctioneer Brian Leslie (centre), from Dairy Livestock Services, calls the action at the Smith's sale on October 17.

Charles and Carolyn Smith, of St Germains, held a First Stage Complete Dispersal Sale of their Andes Holsteins and Eurarie Jersey herds yesterday (October 17).

All but one of the 145 cows sold, totaling more than $400 000 for the Smith family.

"I was happy with the averages," Mr Smith said.

"It's what we expected," he said.

The Smith's will hold the second stage of the sale in autumn next year.
