The McIntosh Centre at the Shepparton Showgrounds was packed with people interested in renewable energy use.

Representatives from renewable energy companies and company's who have installed renewable energy discussed new energy at the Northern Victorian New Energy Roundtable, which visited Shepparton today.

The event was presented by DELWP in partnership with Greater Shepparton City Council, with delegates hearing from new energy experts including a key note address from Minister for Energy Lily D’Ambrosio and distinguished economist and ZEN Energy chairman Ross Garnaut.

Neoen project manager Tim Kirk also discussed the Numurkah Solar Farm, with construction set down to begin in early 2018.

The aim of the Roundtable was to bring together renewable energy project proponents, technology providers, financiers and investors, local industry, supply chain partners, community groups and other relevant stakeholders to identify projects, and promote new energy opportunities.
