The St James silo has been in the township since 1942 and long-time resident Jim Kelly wants to see some artwork on the cement structure.
Mr Kelly said painting of the now redundant silo was in the early stages of planning.
‘‘It’s not used now. The last few years it has been used for GM (gentically modified) canola.
‘‘I would like something (painted) to do with greyhound racing,’’ he said.
‘‘Others are wanting a more rustic and farming (landscape).’’
Mr Kelly said the next step was to explore the options and then publicise to get the locals interested.
He also hinted at some interest in painting the town’s water tower.
