Gwen still at Legacy helm

By Kyabram Free Press

GWEN James has been re-elected as chairperson for the Kyabram Legacy group and two new members have been introduced.

Recently the Kyabram Legacy Group held its annual changeover luncheon at the Kyabram Club, which was well attended.

New members Peter Fitzgerald and Peter Richards were thanked for taking on the roles of Legatees.

Gwen confirmed the office bearers for 2018 and highlighted growing support for the annual Lone Pine services.

All local schools have a service and members said it’s wonderful to see the schools work with aged care providers in the area.

Many thanks were given to Warramunda, Sheridan and Tongala Aged Care.

The guest speaker was the federal member for Murray, Damian Drum.

Mr Drum spoke about his time as Minister for Veteran Affairs in the 2014 state parliament prior to his move into federal politics.

Legacy week continues to be well supported by the general public along with service and business groups.

All funds raised go directly to the welfare of widows.
