John Pettigrew (Country News, November 21) sincerely believes in the climate change theory that has taken 50 per cent of normal availability of water from farmers and advocates for more down the river.

John Pettigrew (Country News, November 21) sincerely believes in the climate change theory that has taken 50 per cent of normal availability of water from farmers and advocates for more down the river.

His biggest obstacle is Barnaby Joyce who advocates for the farmers who are doing it hard. We do not want Turnbull, Shorten or Greens making the decisions.

Our governments are shutting down coal-fired power stations to ‘‘save the environment’’ yet are proud to be one of the biggest coal exporters in the world as India and China increase coal use by six per cent a year.

The cost of renewable energy will rise rapidly and leave us uncompetitive in the world.

If CO2 is increasing, everyone in the world would have to inhale a greater volume of air to get sufficient oxygen. I don’t see that, but I do see the hypocrisy.
