The Speak Up group has released its annual calendar, with 12 photographs depicting rural life in northern Victoria and southern NSW selected.

The images are designed to highlight rural lifestyles and ensure they are maintained.

The ultimate winning photo was taken by Emily Campi from Cohuna, who took a photo of her daughter Zylee.

Ms Campi, who grew up on a dairy farm in Cohuna, said she was out with her daughter one day when she captured the winning photograph.

‘‘It was just a candid moment. I take a lot of photos so I always seem to have my camera with me and we were just sort of out walking and playing and I got the shot,’’ she said.

‘‘I think it was just a nice one, it showed the rural area ... It shows our country lifestyle.’’

Speak Up spokesperson Shelley Scoullar thanked everyone for entering the competition and congratulated the photographers who had been short-listed for the calendar, with special congratulations to the winning photo.

â– The calendars are available for $20 from Peppin Heritage Centre, Fellows Transport, IK Caldwell and Taskers Garage in Deniliquin, or by phoning Shelley Scoullar on 0414 960 785 or sending an email to
