Family of murdered Yu appeal to NSW public

The family of a 28-year-old Chinese woman murdered nearly three weeks ago is appealing for public help to find her body which may have been dumped in bushland north of Sydney.

Qi Yu was last seen by friends at a Campsie share house in the city's southwest on Friday, June 8, and detectives believe she was taken by car to the Berowra area on the night she went missing.

Ms Yu's white Toyota Corolla was later found dumped in Burwood in the city's west.

A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged with her murder several days later.

Dozens of police and SES officers have been searching bushland at Berowra over the past week for Ms Yu's body.

Ms Yu's mother and father have travelled to Sydney and on Tuesday will join NSW Police in a public appeal urging anyone who may have information about the whereabouts of their daughter's remains to contact police.
